Also means
escape
Usage Note
Escapada is the feminine past-participle noun of escapar. In everyday speech it most often means a short leisure trip (una escapada de fin de semana, a weekend getaway), but it also describes a break from routine or, in cycling, a breakaway move by a rider. The connotation is pleasantly spontaneous rather than urgent.
Examples
"Necesitamos una escapada al campo este verano."
Natural Translation
