Usage Note

Dignidad is an abstract feminine noun that does not take an article when used in certain fixed phrases (morir con dignidad — to die with dignity). In Spanish law and philosophy, dignidad humana (human dignity) is a foundational concept. The related adjective is digno/a (worthy, dignified), and the verb dignarse means 'to deign to do something.'
