Usage Note
Despejado most commonly describes clear weather or sky (cielo despejado), but it also means a person whose mind is clear and alert. It pairs with estar: el cielo está despejado. In traffic bulletins it can mean a road is clear of obstacles. Do not confuse with despeinado (dishevelled hair) — the consonants in the middle differ.
