adverb deh-PREE-sah Rare
Origin: From de + prisa (haste).
Also means
in a hurry
Usage Note
Deprisa (also written de prisa) means 'quickly' or 'in a rush' and is used more in Spain than in Latin America, where rápido or rápidamente are more common. The phrase ¡Deprisa, deprisa! is an urgent call to hurry up. It is not interchangeable with despacio (slowly), its direct antonym.
Examples
"Habla tan deprisa que no la entiendo."
Natural Translation
