adjective koh-REEN-tyoh Rare
Origin: Latin Corinthianus, from Corinthus (Corinth, Greece)
Usage Note
Corintio describes the Corinthian order of classical architecture, with its ornate acanthus-leaf capital — the most elaborate of the three classical orders (dórico, jónico, corintio). It is also the demonym for a person from Corinth. The form corinthiano with 'th' is not standard Spanish.
Examples
