Conquistador refers historically to the 16th-century Spanish and Portuguese soldier-explorers who colonized the Americas. It has entered English as a loanword. The feminine is conquistadora. In modern Spanish it can also describe any person with a forceful or seductive manner — es un conquistador means he is a charmer.
