Adscrito is a formal administrative term meaning officially attached or assigned to a department, unit, or body: funcionario adscrito al ministerio is 'a civil servant assigned to the ministry'. It is the past participle of adscribir (also spelled adscrito/adscripto in some varieties). In everyday speech asignado is more common.
