Usage Note
Atacado is the past participle of atacar used as an adjective. It describes someone or something that has been the target of an attack — physical, verbal, or digital. In colloquial Latin American Spanish, particularly in the Southern Cone, atacado can also mean 'nervous' or 'worked up' (estoy atacado de los nervios). The feminine is atacada; learners should not confuse it with atascado ('stuck, blocked').
