Usage Note
Antelación is almost exclusively found in the fixed phrase con antelación (in advance, beforehand) or con suficiente antelación (with sufficient notice). 'Reserva con antelación' means 'book ahead.' It is interchangeable with con anterioridad in formal contexts, but con antelación is the more everyday choice. The word does not stand alone as freely as its English counterpart 'notice' does.
Examples
"Reserva la mesa con antelación."
