Agudo describes a sharp physical edge, an acute angle, an intense pain (dolor agudo), a high-pitched sound, or a quick-witted person (una mente aguda). In Spanish linguistics, una palabra aguda is stressed on the final syllable (e.g. canción). The antonym for pitch is grave; for pain, sordo (dull). The feminine form is aguda.
