Also means
to blow up
Usage Note
Volar is a stem-changing verb (o→ue): vuelo, vuelas, vuela… but volamos, voláis. Beyond literal flight, volar colloquially means to disappear fast — el dinero voló (the money vanished). It can also mean to explode or demolish: volar un edificio (to blow up a building). The expression volar alto (to aim high) is idiomatic.
Examples
"El avión vuela a las diez."
Natural Translation
The plane flies at ten.
