Usage Note

Vinilo refers both to the plastic material polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and, colloquially, to a vinyl LP record. The latter use has surged with the analogue music revival (escuchar vinilos — 'to listen to records'). In interior design, vinilo adhesivo ('vinyl sticker/decal') is widely used for wall decoration.
