Usage Note
Venido is primarily encountered as the past participle of venir (to come), used in compound tenses: ha venido (he has come). As a standalone adjective it is relatively rare and formal — recién venido means 'newcomer' or 'newly arrived.' Learners should note that bienvenido (welcome) is a fixed compound, not simply bien + venido as a free phrase.
Examples
"Los recién venidos se instalaron en el barrio."
Natural Translation
The newcomers settled in the neighbourhood.
