Usage Note

Unísono is almost exclusively used in the fixed phrase al unísono, meaning 'in unison' or 'all together at the same time'. The accent on the first 'i' is obligatory. It can describe voices singing together or people acting simultaneously: aplaudieron al unísono ('they applauded in unison').
