Usage Note
Tú (with accent) is the informal second-person singular subject pronoun; the possessive tu (no accent) is a separate word. Spanish regularly omits subject pronouns because the verb ending signals the person, so tú appears mainly for emphasis or contrast. In formal address, usted (which takes third-person verb forms) replaces tú.
Examples
"Tú siempre llegas tarde."
Natural Translation
You always arrive late.
