Usage Note
Turista is a common-gender noun: el turista (m) / la turista (f) — the form is identical for both sexes, only the article changes. The derived adjective turístico/a ('tourist', 'touristic') carries a written accent on the penultimate 'i'. Turista is also used informally to mean a tourist-class (economy) seat or ticket.
