Torturar is a regular -ar verb. It is used both literally (to torture a prisoner) and figuratively — me tortura la duda (doubt tortures me). The reflexive torturarse means to torment oneself. The related noun tortura means torture, and torturador (m) / torturadora (f) means torturer.
