Usage Note
Terminal can be feminine (la terminal, a transport terminal: bus station, airport terminal) or masculine (el terminal, a computer terminal or phone handset). The gender distinction is shifting in modern usage — many speakers use la terminal for both senses. As an adjective it means 'terminal' in the medical sense (enfermedad terminal) and is invariable for gender in that use.
Examples
"El autobús llega a la terminal a las ocho."
Natural Translation
The bus arrives at the terminal at eight.
