Usage Note
Su is a possessive determiner that agrees with the noun it modifies, not the possessor — so su casa can mean 'his house', 'her house', 'your house' (usted), 'its house', or 'their house' depending on context. The plural form is sus. When ambiguity arises, Spanish often substitutes de él/ella/ellos after the noun: la casa de ella 'her house (specifically)'.
Examples
