Usage Note
Serbio functions as both adjective and noun (el serbio = the Serbian man, la serbia = the Serbian woman). The language is also called serbio or serbocroata. It should not be confused with sirio (Syrian) — a mix-up that occasionally appears in learner writing. The feminine form is serbia.
