Usage Note

Rápidamente is formed from the adjective rápido plus the suffix -mente. When two -mente adverbs appear in a series, Spanish drops -mente from all but the last: rápida y eficazmente. It is interchangeable with de prisa in most contexts, though de prisa is more colloquial.
