Restaurar is used for restoring artwork, buildings, and data (e.g. restaurar una copia de seguridad = to restore a backup). It is a regular -ar verb. Do not confuse with restablecer (to re-establish, restore a system or order) — restaurar focuses on physical or aesthetic renewal, restablecer on reinstating a state or condition.
