regresar

to return, to go back

verb rreh-greh-SAHR Less Common

Usage Note

Regresar is the standard word for 'to return' in Latin America; in Spain volver is more common for the same meaning, though regresar is understood. The two verbs overlap but volver can also mean 'to do something again' (volver a + infinitive), while regresar does not have that use.

Examples

"¿A qué hora regresas a casa?"

Natural Translation
