Recurrente describes something that happens repeatedly or keeps coming back — a recurrent theme, a recurring dream, or a recurring medical condition. It is invariable in gender: un problema recurrente, una pesadilla recurrente. In medicine, dolor recurrente is recurring pain. Do not confuse with recurrido (used/resorted to), which is the past participle of recurrir.
