Usage Note

Reclamado is the past participle of reclamar used adjectivally. Reclamar means both 'to claim' (ownership or rights) and 'to demand' or 'to complain', so context matters: un territorio reclamado = a claimed territory; el dinero reclamado = the money demanded. It is a false friend with English 'reclaimed' in the ecological sense; Spanish uses recuperado for 'reclaimed land'.
