Usage Note
Quinta is the feminine ordinal form of quinto (fifth) but as a standalone noun it usually means a country estate or villa. In military history, la quinta also referred to a draft cohort (conscripts of a given year: los de la quinta del 82). The two meanings are completely distinct and context always resolves them.
