Provocado is the past participle of provocar used as an adjective, describing something caused or triggered by an external force — un incendio provocado ('an arson fire', lit. a deliberately set fire) vs un incendio accidental. In legal and journalistic Spanish incendio provocado is the standard phrase for arson. The adjective agrees in gender and number: provocada, provocados, provocadas.
