Perjudicial is gender-invariant and describes something that causes damage or works against someone's interests. It is a formal word; in everyday speech dañino ('harmful') is more common. The verb perjudicar ('to harm', 'to be detrimental to') and noun perjuicio ('harm', 'prejudice in a legal sense') share the root. Sin perjuicio de ('without prejudice to') is a standard legal phrase.
