Usage Note
Panadería is the standard word for a bread bakery — a shop that bakes and sells bread, as opposed to a pastelería (pastry shop) or confitería. The person who works there is a panadero/panadera. In many Spanish-speaking countries the panadería is a daily stop, as fresh bread is bought in small quantities each morning.
Examples
"Compré una baguette en la panadería del barrio."
Natural Translation
I bought a baguette at the neighborhood bakery.
