Odisea entered Spanish from the title of Homer's epic and is now used figuratively for any long, arduous journey or series of difficulties (fue una odisea conseguir los papeles = getting the papers was an odyssey). It is always feminine. The stress falls on the penultimate syllable: o-di-SE-a.
