Naviera is the feminine form of naviero ('related to ships') used as a noun to mean a shipping line or maritime company. The full form empresa naviera is equivalent but naviera alone is standard in business and economic contexts. Do not confuse with nave ('ship') or navío ('warship'); naviera strictly refers to the corporate entity, not the vessel.
