Motocicleta is the formal word for a motorcycle; in everyday speech moto (f) is far more common. The full form appears in official documents, regulations, and formal writing. A rider is a motociclista (common gender). In Spain moto is also used for scooters (escúter), so context sometimes matters for precision.
