Usage Note
Mosaico refers to decorative work made of small coloured tiles or stones, and by extension any patchwork pattern or diverse mixture (un mosaico de culturas). The adjective abigarrado is sometimes used as a synonym for a colourful mosaic-like mix. In Latin America mosaico can also mean a floor tile or linoleum tile.
