Usage Note

Moler is a stem-changing verb (o→ue in stressed syllables: muelo, mueles…). Beyond its literal sense of grinding grain or coffee, it has a colloquial meaning of exhausting someone (esto me muele) or, in some Latin American varieties, of annoying. Molido as an adjective means 'ground' (coffee) or 'worn out' (a person).
