meridianamente
crystal-clearly
adverb meh-ree-dyah-nah-MEN-teh Rare
Origin: Latin meridianus (of midday), from meridies (midday)
Usage Note
Meridianamente derives from meridiano (meridian, midday) and its adjectival sense 'as clear as the midday sun'. It is almost exclusively paired with claro: meridianamente claro (crystal clear, absolutely clear). Outside this fixed collocation it is very unusual. The phrase is common in formal speech, legal writing, and politics when a speaker wants to stress that something is beyond dispute.
Examples
"El juez lo explicó meridianamente claro."
Natural Translation
