Usage Note
Magistrada is the feminine form of magistrado, used for a female judge at the level of a high court or constitutional tribunal. Spanish legal language now consistently uses gendered titles — La magistrada del Tribunal Supremo — in contrast to older practice of using the masculine as a generic.
