Liturgia refers to the prescribed set of rituals and prayers of a religious service, especially in Catholic or Orthodox practice. By extension it can describe any formal, ritualised sequence of actions: la liturgia de los premios (the ritual of award ceremonies). It is always feminine: la liturgia.
