Usage Note

Libio means 'of or from Libya' and also serves as a noun for a Libyan person (el libio, la libia). The feminine form is libia. It should not be confused with lívido (livid/pale), a different word. As with other gentilicio adjectives, it is not capitalized in Spanish: el gobierno libio.
