jamás
never
adverb hah-MAHS Less Common
Origin: From Latin iam magis (now more/ever).
Also means
ever
Usage Note
Jamás is a more emphatic or literary synonym of nunca (never). In positive questions or after si, it means 'ever' (¿lo has visto jamás? = 'have you ever seen it?'). The double form nunca jamás ('never ever') adds strong finality. Jamás is common in formal writing but sounds dramatic in casual speech where nunca is the default.
Examples
"Jamás olvidaré ese momento."
Natural Translation
I will never forget that moment.
