Usage Note

Inhabilitar means to legally disqualify a person from holding public office or exercising a right. In administrative law, inhabilitación (disqualification) is the corresponding noun. It also appears in technology: inhabilitar una función (to disable a feature). Do not confuse with incapacitar (to incapacitate physically or mentally).
