Usage Note

Indebido describes something that ought not to have been done — uso indebido ('improper use') and influencia indebida ('undue influence') are set legal and administrative phrases. It is more formal than inapropiado. In everyday speech Spaniards are more likely to say no corresponde or no toca to convey the same idea informally.
