Usage Note

Habitual is invariable for gender (el cliente habitual, la clienta habitual) and takes plural -es. It describes something done routinely or a person who is a regular: un cliente habitual (a regular customer). The adverb habitualmente (usually, habitually) is frequent in formal registers. Do not confuse with hábil (skilful) or hábito (habit/monk's robe), which share the Latin root but differ in meaning.
