Usage Note

Gigante functions as both a noun (el gigante, la gigante) and an invariable adjective meaning 'giant-sized': un paquete gigante, una pantalla gigante. As an adjective it does not change for gender, though the plural gigantes is used. The related adjective gigantesco/a ('gigantic') does agree for gender.
