Gasolina is the standard term across most of the Spanish-speaking world for petrol/gasoline. In Spain, gasoil or gasóleo refers to diesel, whereas gasolina is specifically petrol. A filling station is una gasolinera. Colloquially in some regions the word has slang uses, but these are highly regional.
