Usage Note
Francés also serves as a noun meaning a French person (un francés, una francesa) and the French language (hablar francés). As a nationality adjective, it is lowercased in Spanish, unlike in English. The feminine form is francesa; note the accent on the masculine singular disappears in the plural: franceses, francesas.
