Usage Note
Evacuar is a regular -ar verb but belongs to the group where the u in the stem may or may not bear an accent depending on the speaker's pronunciation: the RAE accepts both evacúo and evacuo. It is used for both emergency evacuations of people and, in medical/formal language, for clearing (e.g. evacuating the bowels). The noun is evacuación.
