Usage Note

Europeísta describes a person or position that favours European integration or the values of the European Union. It also functions as a noun — un europeísta convencido (a committed pro-European). The invariable ending -ista applies to both genders: el europeísta / la europeísta. Its antonym is euroescéptico (Eurosceptic).
