Delirante describes a person in a state of delirium — speaking incoherently due to fever, shock, or mental disturbance — or something wildly absurd and frenetic. In informal use, una situación delirante means an absolutely crazy or surreal situation, without medical connotation. As an adjective ending in -nte, it does not change for gender: un paciente delirante, una paciente delirante. The related noun is delirio and verb delirar.
