Usage Note
Cristiandad refers collectively to the Christian world or the body of Christian believers as a whole — closer to 'Christendom' than simply 'Christianity' (cristianismo). It evokes the medieval and political sense of a unified Christian community. The adjective is cristiano/a and the verb cristianizar means 'to Christianise'.
Examples
"La cristiandad celebra la Navidad en diciembre."
Natural Translation
Christendom celebrates Christmas in December.
