conectado

connected

adjective koh-nehk-TAH-doh Rare

Also means

online

Usage Note

Conectado functions both as the past participle of conectar and as a standalone adjective. In digital contexts estar conectado means to be online or logged in, while estar desconectado means offline. It also describes emotional or social connection (me siento conectado con esta música). Because it uses estar, it describes a state rather than inherent identity; estar conectado vs being fundamentally 'a connected person' would still use estar in Spanish.

Examples

"Siempre estoy conectado a internet cuando trabajo."

Natural Translation

I am always connected to the internet when I work.
